| 学修の概要 | 著名な芸術家であり哲学者でもあるエイドリアン・パイパーは、学術研究における芸術研究の重要性を強調しています。本セミナーでは、歴史、記憶、そして人種、民族、階級、ジェンダー、セクシュアリティ、宗教といった社会的なアイデンティティなど、相互に関連するテーマに焦点を当て、社会問題を調査する手段として芸術を考察します。今学期は、ジェンダーとセクシュアリティに特に重点を置き、社会規範に関する批判的かつ創造的な思考を促すパフォーマンス・アートを通して、これらの側面におけるパフォーマンス性を分析します。多様な作品やテキストを通して、芸術制作過程、科学研究、社会学的探究の交差性を含め、これらのテーマに深く向き合うよう促されます。 Adrian Piper, a notable artist and philosopher, emphasizes the importance of artistic research in academic inquiry. This seminar examines art as a means of investigating societal issues, focusing on interconnected themes such as history, memory, and social identities—including race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, and religion. This semester, we will analyze the performativity of these aspects through performance art that fosters critical and creative thinking about social norms with particular emphasis on gender and sexuality. A variety of artworks and texts will challenge us to engage deeply with these themes, including the intersectionality of the art process, scientific research, and sociological inquiry. |
| 学修の到達目標 | 1. 知識・理解 (Knowledge and Understanding) パフォーマンスアートやミクストメディアをはじめとする現代芸術の諸技法が、歴史、記憶、社会的アイデンティティ（人種、ジェンダー、階級等）をいかに表現・再構築しているか、その理論的背景を説明できる。Explain the theoretical frameworks of how contemporary art practices—including performance art and mixed media—represent and reconstruct history, memory, and social identities (race, gender, class, etc.). 2. 批判的・創造的思考 (Critical and Creative Thinking) 芸術作品が投げかける社会規範への問いを批判的に分析し、学術的（社会学的）研究と芸術的研究を融合させた独自の批評的視点を構築できる。Critically analyze the challenges posed by artworks to social norms, and construct an original critical perspective that integrates traditional sociological research with artistic research. 3. 経験的実践・表現 (Experiential Practice and Expression) 自身の問題意識や社会的テーマに基づき、学際的なアプローチ（言葉、映像、身体表現など）を用いた「社会を語る」実践的な表現、またはその具体的なプロジェクト・プロポーザルを考案・提示できる。Design and present a practical expression or a detailed project proposal that "narrates society" using interdisciplinary methods (text, video, performance, etc.) based on one's own social awareness and themes. |

| 授業外学習の課題 | '事前学修（２時間程度）： テキストの通読： 指定された章を読み、全体の論理構成を把握すること。 キーワードの抽出： ワークシートに記載された英語のキーフレーズ（Key Phrases）を精読し、自分なりの仮訳と疑問点をノートにまとめておくこと。 議論用メモの作成： ワークシート内の「Question」に対し、自分の経験や現代社会の事例を最低一つ挙げたメモを準備すること。 事後学修（２時間程度）： 議論のリフレクション： 授業内で行われた議論を振り返り、自分の考えがどう変化したか、あるいは新たな問いが生まれたかをリフレクション・ログ（短い感想文）に記録すること。 |
