| 学修の概要 | This course focuses on developing students’ English presentation skills and overall oral communication ability. Students will learn practical techniques for organising and delivering effective presentations on topics related to their own lives and experiences. Emphasis will be placed on clear pronunciation, appropriate vocabulary, logical structure, audience awareness, and confident body language. Through guided practice, peer feedback, and repeated presentation opportunities, students will build the confidence to speak clearly and persuasively in front of an audience. By the end of the course, students will be able to plan and deliver well-structured presentations in English with increased fluency and self-assurance. 本授業は、学生の英語によるプレゼンテーション能力および総合的な口頭コミュニケーション能力の向上を目的としています。学生は、自分自身の生活や経験に関連するテーマについて、効果的なプレゼンテーションを構成し発表するための実践的な技術を学びます。明確な発音、適切な語彙の使用、論理的な構成、聴衆を意識した話し方、自信のあるボディランゲージに重点を置きます。指導に基づく練習、ピア・フィードバック、そして繰り返しの発表機会を通して、学生は聴衆の前で明確かつ説得力をもって話す自信を養います。授業の終了時には、より高い流暢さと自己確信をもって、構成の整った英語プレゼンテーションを計画・実施できるようになることを目指します。 |
| 学修の到達目標 | This course aims to help students develop confidence in speaking English in front of others. It aims to improve students’ ability to speak clearly and fluently using appropriate pronunciation and vocabulary. The course also aims to teach practical skills for organising and delivering effective presentations. In addition, it aims to support students in expressing their personal ideas, experiences, and opinions in English. Finally, the course aims to increase students’ awareness of audience needs, appropriate language use, and effective non-verbal communication when giving presentations. 本授業は、学生が人前で英語を話す自信を身につけることを目的としています。また、適切な発音や語彙を用いて、明確かつ流暢に話す能力の向上を目指します。さらに、効果的なプレゼンテーションを構成し実施するための実践的なスキルを習得することも目的としています。加えて、自分自身の考えや経験、意見を英語で表現する力を育成します。最後に、プレゼンテーションを行う際の聴衆への配慮、適切な言語使用、そして効果的な非言語コミュニケーションに対する意識を高めることを目指します。 |

| 授業外学習の課題 | Students are expected to study for around four hours per week out of class. 1) Two hours should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research). 2) Two hours should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class. |
| 履修上の注意事項 | Students need to participate in all class activities, pair work and group work. 対面授業を実施します Students will give 6 presentations over the course. It is very important that students DO NOT miss these classes. Students who miss their presentation day will be required to present the following week, but will lose a mark as a penalty. However, if a student has an authorised absence on a presentation day, alternative arrangements will be made. 学生は本授業を通して6回のプレゼンテーションを行います。これらの授業を欠席しないことが非常に重要です。発表日に欠席した場合、翌週に発表を行うことになりますが、ペナルティとして減点されます。ただし、発表日に公認欠席（正当な理由による欠席）の場合は、別途対応を行います。 英語英文学科で提供している科目については、公認欠席を含め、欠席はいかなる事情があっても４回までとします。 |
| 成績評価の方法・基準 | Evaluation will be on the six (6) presentations (15%) each and a further 10% for class participation. |
