| 学修の概要 | Active English involves a wide range of Active Learning activities such as conversations, discussions, role-plays, presentations, research activities, and extensive reading. In Active English VIII, students will focus on further developing their vocabulary and grammar knowledge. The main aim is for students to produce longer stretches of language in both speaking and writing, as well as to be able to comprehend longer stretches of language in reading and listening. Active Englishでは会話やディスカッション、ロールプレイ、プレゼンテーション、リサーチ活動、多読など様々なアクティブ・ラーニングを取り入れています。Active English VIIIでは、基礎的な語彙や文法知識を強化することに加えて、スピーチ、ロールプレイ、ディスカッションなどのオーラルコミュニケーション活動を行います。 |

| 授業外学習の課題 | Students are expected to study for at least two hours per week out of class. 1) One hour should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research). 2) One hour should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class. |
| 履修上の注意事項 | 対面授業を実施します。 英語英文学科で提供している科目については、公認欠席を含め、欠席はいかなる事情があっても４回までとします。 公認欠席について: Individual instruction will be provided for students with authorized absences. To be successful on this course, students need: 1) good attendance and time keeping. 2) good classwork and homework. 3) good motivation and participation. |
| 成績評価の方法・基準 | The grade for the semester is composed of: 1) Vocabulary Quizzes (40%) 2) Class Participation and Activities (30%) 3) Final Examination (20%) 4) Presentation (10%) *Absences and lateness will negatively affect grades. |
