| 学修の概要 | This course focuses on developing basic Japanese conversation and listening skills. In this course, learners learn the basic Japanese necessary for daily life. Students develop the ability to express themselves and understand what others are saying in various situations. Students will also learn how to discuss and exchange opinions in groups on a single theme in Japanese. * This course will be conducted in accordance with the students’actual Japanese proficiency. Accordingly, the schedule and content described below may be adjusted to accommodate the students’proficiency levels, class size, and learning needs. |

| 履修上の注意事項 | 【Policy on Officially Excused Absences】 ・The policy for officially excused absences is as follows: Officially excused absences will be counted as absences but will not affect credit eligibility or final exam requirements. ※ A minimum attendance requirement is established as part of the credit and final exam eligibility criteria. 【Credit Requirements】 To receive credit for this course, students must attend at least 11 out of 15 classes. Students who are absent 5 times or more will not be eligible for credit. ・Course materials for classes missed due to an officially excused absence will be provided at a later date. ◆If you do not participate, you will not be able to contribute to the class, so late arrivals and absences without a valid reason will be subject to point deduction. ◆ If you do not meet the deadline for submitting the assignment, you will be subject to a point deduction." |
| 成績評価の方法・基準 | Assessment will be based on the following components: • Class participation (contributions and in‑class activities): 30% • Quizzes and daily assignments (including homework): 20% • Final exam or final project: 50% Note: Tardiness and absences will result in point deductions. |
