| 授業の題目 | Basic introduction to speaking and listening (oral communication) in English. |
| 学修の概要 | There will be a variety of speaking and listening activities from the textbook and outside the textbook: pair work, listening dictations, games, group presentations and teacher lectures using PowerPoint. There will be mini-tests to review key language patterns including presentations using PowerPoint on topics of interest to the student. Google Classroom will be relied on for feedback and to provide supplementary material to support what is being learned in the textbook. The textbook units are very short with clear targets, so in the 90 minute class we can do two units. |
| 学修の到達目標 | The goal is to build confidence with oral English skills, with a special emphasis on improving students listening to natural speed English, and producing grammatically appropriate responses to questions in English. |
