授業の題目 Active English IV
学修の概要 Active English involves a wide range of Active Learning activities such as conversations, discussions, roleplays, presentations, research activities, and extensive reading.

In Active English IV, students will have opportunities to practice oral communication activities, such as speeches, roleplays, and discussions, as well as strengthening foundational vocabulary and grammar knowledge.

Active Englishでは会話やディスカッション、ロールプレイ、プレゼンテーション、リサーチ活動、多読など様々なアクティブ・ラーニングを取り入れています。Active English IVでは、基礎的な語彙や文法知識を強化することに加えて、スピーチ、ロールプレイ、ディスカッションなどのオーラルコミュニケーション活動を行います。
学修の到達目標 The overall aim of the Active English I-VIII courses is to offer students the opportunity to become more confident users of English.

授業外学習の課題 Students are expected to study for around 1 hour for each Active English class.
1) 30 minutes should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research).
2) 30 minutes should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class.
履修上の注意事項 対面授業を実施します。
英語英文学科で提供している科目については、公認欠席を含め、欠席はいかなる事情があっても4回までとします。
公認欠席について: Individual instruction will be provided for students with authorized absences.

To be successful on this course, students need:
1) good attendance and time keeping.
2) good classwork and homework.
3) good motivation and participation.
成績評価の方法・基準 The grade for the semester is composed of:
1) Tests/Tasks/Projects (50%)
2) Active Participation (50%)
*Absences and Lateness will negatively affect grades.
