学修の概要 | There are many issues facing the world today that affect everyone. In this class, we will explore many of these issues and discuss them. Topics like climate change, gender, racism, and class. 今日、世界は、すべての人に影響を与える多くの問題に直面しています。このクラスでは、これらの多くの問題について検討し、議論します。気候変動、性別、人種差別、階級などのトピック。 |
学修の到達目標 | This class will cover all aspects of the English language; listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. However, this class is heavily focused on listening and speaking, particulary conversation skills. This is because, living in Japan, most students don't have the chance to have conversations with others in English often, so this class provides you with that chance. Being able to share your opinions and feelings is an important skill to have. This in addition to being able to argue your position and be persuasive is an important skill. These are important skills in any langauge and you will have the chance to practice these skills in this class. The goal, by the end of this class is to be more confident in English but also to have a better understanding of world issues and an opinion about those issues that you can argue. このクラスでは、リスニング、スピーキング、リーディング、ライティング、文法、語彙など、英語のあらゆる側面をカバーします。ただし、このクラスでは、リスニングとスピーキング、特に会話スキルに重点を置いています。これは、日本に住んでいるほとんどの学生が英語で他の人と会話する機会があまりないため、このクラスでその機会を提供するためです。 |
