| 学修の概要 | This class aims to improve English listening ability by providing students with a number of informative and interesting audio and video recordings from NHK Direct Talk in a textbook called "Inspiring Voices". Each week, after controlled exercises in listening comprehension, students will follow up what they have heard by a variety of communicative classroom activities in which they can express their opinions on the topic at hand. |
| 学修の到達目標 | Improvement of your listening ability, as well as your speaking and pronunciation ability. If you cannot pronounce certain words, they are hard to listen to, and understand. |

| 授業外学習の課題 | Come prepared to actively participate. Students are expected to study for three hours per week out of class. 1) 1.5 hours should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research). 2) 1.5 hours should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class. |
