| 学修の概要 | This is an English current events class that is largely exploratory. Students will be given the opportunity to choose themes to research and news articles to read and to share. The teacher will guide and prompt this research and provide information to help students navigate different kinds of information and information in English. これは、主に探究的な内容の英語時事問題クラスです。学生は、自ら調べるテーマとニュース記事を選び、それを読んで共有する機会が与えられます。教師は、学生が様々な情報や英語の情報にアクセスできるよう、指導・促し、情報を提供します。 |
| 学修の到達目標 | These days, we have almost limitless access to information, any time, anywhere. The ability to navigate information and judge whether that information is real or biased are important skills in any language. This class gives students the opportunity to practice these skills. In addition to this, students are given the opportunity to practice these skills in English and learn the vocabulary and language beats unique to different themes. 現在はいつでもどこでも、ほぼ無限の情報にアクセスできます。情報を適切に捉え、その情報が真実か偏っているかを判断する能力は、どの言語においても重要なスキルです。このクラスでは、学生たちにこれらのスキルを練習する機会を提供します。さらに、学生たちはこれらのスキルを英語で練習し、様々なテーマに特有の語彙や言語的リズムを学ぶ機会も得られます。 |

The teacher will have an opportunity to get to know the students and the students will be able to practice introductions in English. Students will get a taste of what the class will be like moving forward through brief small group and class discussions about current events with prompts and assistance from the teacher. The 1st news topic will be decided as a class. | |
