| 学修の概要 | This class continues on from English Communication Studies III. In this class we will follow a communicative approach to improving your English. The emphasis will be on a variety of communicative activities, such as pair work, group work and presentations. Students will consolidate and build upon their existing skills by expressing themselves on a variety of relevant topics. Active participation will be key to this approach. |

| 授業外学習の課題 | Come prepared to actively participate. Students are expected to study for three hours per week out of class. 1) 1.5 hours should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research). 2) 1.5 hours should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class. |
| 履修上の注意事項 | 対面授業を実施します Absences, including authorized absences (公認欠席), are strictly limited to no more than 5 times per semester. 公認欠席について: Individual instruction will be provided for students with authorized absences. 自身の英語運用能力測定のため、学期終盤に行われる TOEIC(R) L&R IP / TOEIC(R) Bridge に申し込み、受験してください。Please register and take the TOEIC(R) Bridge test at the end of the semester to assess your English proficiency. Students MUST attend classes 14 & 15 which are preparation for group presentations. Students who do not attend these classes, or who do not support their group well, will receive a grade penalty.
