授業の題目	Pragmatics II
学修の概要	The aim of this course is to help participants experience, understand, and create pragmatics teaching activities. It provides an overview of the field of pragmatics, with three main approaches for the classes. In each block of three classes, participants read and discuss one chapter of a book focused on pragmatic instruction, they try out and discuss one or two activities, and they work on creating their own activity.
学修の到達目標	The main learning focus through this course is for participants to learn about the need for pragmatics instruction, to understand what it may mean in practice, and to experience pragmatics instruction both through teaching and through developing a pragmatics teaching activity.

	第１４回	Transforming pragmatics activities into assessment activities
	第１５回	Piloting your activity, giving feedback, and writing up / recording your activity

授業外学習の課題	The main out of class activity for this course will be pragmatics teaching practice, and the writing of a teaching report. Around 4 hours per week is required for study outside of class time.
履修上の注意事項	【対面授業を実施します】 We will have classes face to face, but will also use Google Classroom, Google Documents and other online tools for any on-demand classes. 英語英文学科で提供している科目については、公認欠席を含め、欠席はいかなる事情があっても４回までとします。 If possible, contact your teacher in advance if you will be absent.
成績評価の方法・基準	Students will be evaluated according to their performance in class activities (40%), and final research report (60%). Feedback will be given every step of the way.
