学修の概要 This course will focus on conversation strategies, extensive reading, and learner development.Through this course, students will have many opportunities to become more confident in speaking English, and to get to know each other. You will also experience ut-of-class opportunities. Topics will include talking about the things that are important to you.

授業外学習の課題 We will be meeting in class, but well before each class, check any messages or emails and follow instructions to be prepared for the class. After each class, check what you have to do, and when by - homework and other tasks. Students are expected to study for around 1 hour for each Active English class.
1) 30 minutes should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research).
2) 30 minutes should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class.

We will have classes face to face, but will also use Google Classroom, Google Documents and other online tools for any online or "on-demand" classes.


英語英文学科で提供している科目については、公認欠席を含め、欠席はいかなる事情があっても4回までとします。If possible, contact your teacher in advance if you will be late or absent.
成績評価の方法・基準 Communication skills assessment (30%), extensive reading (15%), end-of-class feedback (15%), final vocabulary tests (20%), class participation (10%), out-of-class experiences. Feedback will be given for assignment and tests.
