授業題目 English Communication Ⅱ
授業の概要 English Communication II is designed to guide the students to facilitate their overall ability to interact in English for improving their communication skills. This course uses a communicative approach to complete in-class and out-of-class tasks.
学習の到達目標 Students will be expected to actively participate during class discussions, ask questions, and keenly work on improving their communication skills. By the end of this course, students will be able to: (1) talk about themselves, their families, their interests, and their schedules, (2) ask questions of other members of the class in English to make a conversation and expand on a topic for discussion, (3) learn vocabulary and formulaic language for everyday use of English.

授業外学習の課題 Students are expected to study for around four hours per week out of class.
1) Two hours should be spent previewing the material for the next class (e.g. textbook, handouts, internet research).
2) Two hours should be spent reviewing notes and materials from the previous class.
履修上の注意事項 英語英文学科で提供している科目については、公認欠席を含め、欠席はいかなる事情があっても4回までとします。

To be successful on this course, students need:
1) good attendance and time keeping.
2) good classwork and homework.
3) good motivation and participation.

*If a student is absent from a class, it is the STUDENT'S responsibility to contact a classmate or the teacher to find out about the classwork/homework.
成績評価の方法・基準 One final exam and other extra activities/ exercises/ assignments, for example, presentations.

The grade for the term is composed of:
1) Active Participation (35%)
2) Final Test (40%)
3) Homework (25%)
