授業題目 | Social English: Using English Skills for Social Purposes |
授業の概要 | This course focuses on the development of ability to use spoken English in social situations: the language of social interaction. An imprtant part of this course is using English outside the classroom: in Hiroshima, or possibly online. |
学習の到達目標 | Planning in groups, initiating conversation, dealing with issues, investigating language needs, reporting and presenting in English are all aspects of this course. |

第2回 | "Catch-up" conversations, small talk. Brainstorming ideas.Social project planning in English: making teams, choosing together, keeping in touch. Meeting new people. | |

授業外学習の課題 | Finding, investigating, and participating in social events outside class or outside the university is part of this course. You will need to allow between 1 and 5 hours per week. |
履修上の注意事項 | 【対面授業を実施します】 We will have classes face to face, but will also use Google Classroom, Google Documents and other online tools for any on-demand classes. 原則として4回を超えた欠席をした場合、単位は認められません。また、欠席については事前に連絡をすること。 As a rule, credits are not granted if a student is absent more than four times. If possible, contact your teacher in advance if you will be absent. |
成績評価の方法・基準 | Active participation in in English in class(20%), out of class (10%), presentation (30%), and reports (40%) Students will receive feedback and guidance, from classmates and from their teacher. |
