授業題目 Active English Ⅲ
授業の概要 This course will focus on conversation strategies, extensive reading, and learner development. Through this course, students will have many opportunities to become more confident in speaking English, and to get to know each other. Topics will include talking about the things that are important to you.
学習の到達目標 Students will need to prepare for each class, to build on what we do in class, and read outside class, and to consider topics that are part of everyday life but may not often be discussed.
授業計画 第1回 Sitting next to an old classmate. “I’d love that job!” I: Jobs and job skills. Planning job interviews. Learning to share troubles. Extensive reading: getting started again.
第2回 “I’d love that job!” II: Doing job interviews. Sharing troubles, showing sympathy, making suggestions. Extensive reading: writing a book report. Think about your learning.
第3回 “What’s playing?” I: Vocabulary, events, times, and places. Extensive reading: sharing book reports.
第4回 "What’s playing?” II: Making plans together. Extensive reading: planning your reading. Think about your learning.
第5回 “What are you going to do?” I: People and families. Asking favours. Extensive reading: writing a book report better.

授業外学習の課題 Well before each class, check any messages or emails and follow instructions to be prepared for the class. After each class, check what you have to do, and when by - homework and other tasks. Students will need to find materials, make word lists, create PowerPoint presentations and practice with classmates outside class. Around 45 minutes for each day of the week.

We will have classes face to face, but will also use Google Classroom, Google Documents and other online tools for any on-demand classes.


原則として4回を超えた欠席をした場合、単位は認められません。また、欠席については事前に連絡をすること。
As a rule, credits are not granted if a student is absent more than four times. If possible, contact your teacher in advance if you will be absent.
成績評価の方法・基準 Communication Skills Assessment (30%), extensive reading (15%), quizzes (15%), final tests/tasks (20%), class participation (20%). Feedback will be given on assignments and tests.【期末試験】有
