授業題目 英語圏留学入門　Study Abroad in English Speaking Countries_15
授業の概要 This course is intended for students who want to study abroad in English speaking countries and regions. The course’s objective is to understand the benefits of studying abroad. Additionally, students will learn about planning such as finding a school, a program, and accommodation, making a budget, and what to do on the arrival at the study location. Students also learn how to effectively explain Japanese culture and lifestyle in English. This is accomplished by researching information about the particular country and using this knowledge as a way to better understand the written and oral skills necessary to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and situations. The final exam includes giving a presentation in English based on the research students gather in and outside the classroom.
学習の到達目標 By the end of the course, students will have gained the basic skills and knowledge on how to live and communicate in the overseas destination that they have chosen. Students will be also able to explain a variety of topics related to Japanese lifestyle and culture in English.

授業外学習の課題 To be successful, you should make efforts at:
1. Using English as much as possible
2. Practicing effective time management
3. Always reviewing and previewing their work (1-2 hours per week)
履修上の注意事項 Classes will be held face to face.
Registration is by "Web Entry." Up to 24 students will be accepted into this course.

Class attendance is very important. You are expected to attend class regularly. Arriving to class 15 minutes after attendance has been taken will result in your being marked absent for that class. If for any reason you cannot come to class, you are responsible to notify the instructor and make arrangements to make up for the work you miss.
成績評価の方法・基準 1) Attendance and active participation (including assigned homework) 50%
2) Final presentation 50%
によって総合的に評価する。
