授業題目	Practical English II
授業の概要	This course will focus on students' English speaking fluency and confidence with the development of all four English skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through various everyday life topics and situations. It will also review and introduce useful grammatical structures and vocabulary, whilst learning through role-play and pair/group work. Let's enjoy English!
学習の到達目標	Our goal is to improve all for skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) and to improve your confidence in speaking.

授業計画	第１回	Course Introduction and orientation. "How was your Summer?" speaking activities. Textbook and syllabus review for new students.
	第２回	Unit 10 "Restaurants" Function: Ordering food and drinks. Talking about restaurants.
	第３回	Unit 11 "Shopping" Function: Talking about shopping places and opinions about shopping.
	第４回	Unit 12 "Strengths and Weaknesses" Function: Talking about abilities and personal skills.
	第５回	Units 10-12 Review. Conversation activities.
	第６回	Unit 13 "Places" Function: Describing your hometown, and talking about its upsides and downsides.
	第７回	Unit 14 "Vacations" Function: Talking about different countries and making travel plans.
	第８回	Unit 15 "Experiences" Function: Talking about past events and describing feelings.
	第９回	Units 13-15 Review. Conversation activities.
	第１０回	Unit 16 "Opinions" Function: Making comparisons and agreeing and disagreeing.
	第１１回	Unit 17 "Health and Illness" Function: Talking about health problems and giving advice.
	第１２回	Unit 18 "The Future" Function: Talking about dreams and goals and future plans.
	第１３回	Units 16-18 Review. Conversation activities.
	第１４回	Group Presentations assignment explained.
	第１５回	Final Group Presentations (poster)

授業外学習の課題	Students must study for quizzes and prepare speeches, and the pair/group presentations must be worked on for homework.
履修上の注意事項	レベル1の学生を対象としています。授業計画は、進捗によって多少変更となる場合があります。
成績評価の方法・基準	（以下の基準により評価を行う） Quizzes: 50% Presentations: 30% Classroom Contribution: 20%
