授業題目 English Discussion III
授業の概要 This course is designed to help students develop and improve their discussion skills on various topics including social and environmental issues by expressing and supporting their opinions in English. Discussion strategies will be introduced and practiced in pairs and in small groups, and then will be applied in student discussions.

Discussion can be an effective way for students to improve their communication skills as well as engage with core ideas, apply them, and enhance their problem-solving skills. It’s good for promoting teamwork, for eliciting higher-order thinking, and is especially applicable when a subject is complex and/or open-ended.
学習の到達目標 Course objectives are to develop the knowledge of discussion techniques and skills in order to use these confidently so that students can engage in discussions and presentations on current event topics of interest through actual practice with language in use. Students will be able to express and support their opinions with reasons and agree or disagree politely with others' points of view.
