授業題目 | Academic Writing I |
授業の概要 | This course is about developing academic writing skills. The desired outcome of Semester 1 is for students to practice writing academic paragraphs, and to become familiar with different genres of academic writing. |
学習の到達目標 | The aim is to develop writing skills that are relevant to academic situations, such as report and essay writing. The goal is for students to be able to write a coherent and cohesive academic paragraph. |

授業外学習の課題 | Students will be expected to study for at least 120 minutes per week out of class. It is expected that EVERY student on this course: 1) uses English as much as possible 2) always REVIEWS the last class and PREVIEWS the next class |
履修上の注意事項 | 対面授業を実施します 原則として4回を超えた欠席をした場合、単位は認められません。 また、欠席については事前に連絡をすること。 To be successful on this course, students need: 1) good attendance and time keeping. 2) good classwork and homework. 3) good motivation and participation. |
成績評価の方法・基準 | The grade for the semester is composed of: 1) End of Unit Tests (100%) *Lateness/absences/lack of effort will negatively affect grades. *If a student is absent from a class, it is the STUDENT'S responsibility to contact a classmate or the teacher to find out about the classwork/homework. |
