授業題目 English Academic Writing and Presentation Skills
授業の概要 In this course, students will go through the process of writing an academic paper, including:

  • Brainstorming for ideas and topics
  • Finding reliable sources of information
  • Taking effective notes
  • Organizing information correctly
  • Adding support to claims
  • Fixing errors in spelling, grammar, and logic
  • Avoiding plagiarism (論文の盗作・剽窃の避け方)

    Students will also learn some useful techniques for making oral presentations, such as posture, eye contact, and vocal control.

    At the end of the course, students will give oral presentations based on the content of their papers using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • 学習の到達目標 By the end of this course, students should be able to write academic research papers in an efficient way and present the contents of their papers with confidence.
