|授業の概要||Active English involves a wide range of Active Learning activities such as conversations, discussions, roleplays, presentations, research activities, and extensive reading.
In Active English II, students will have opportunities to practice oral communication activities, such as speeches, roleplays, and discussions, as well as strengthening foundational vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
There will also be a focus on developing students’ interest in extensive reading, through activities which are integrated into all of the Active English courses. These activities include silent reading, book reports, and reading circle discussions.
|学習の到達目標||The overall aim of the Active English I-VIII courses is to offer students the opportunity to become more confident users of English.|

|授業外学習の課題||These are the 3 expectations of EVERY student on this course:
1) Use English as much as possible
2) Have good attendance & good time-keeping
3) Always REVIEW the last class and PREVIEW the next class
|履修上の注意事項||To be successful on this course, students need:
1) good attendance & time keeping.
2) good classwork and homework.
3) good motivation and participation.
Credits will not be given if students are absent from class more than four times in one semester (including illness, traffic-related problems, family-related matters, etc.).

|成績評価の方法・基準||The grade for the semester is composed of:
1) Test/Task (30%)
2) Active Participation (70%)
*Lateness and absences will negatively affect grades.
*If a student is absent from a class, it is the STUDENT'S responsibility to contact a classmate or the teacher to find out about the classwork/homework.
